Psychiatrist Consultant
We are looking for a Psychiatrist Contractor licensed in CA to provide outpatient behavior health services for adults and older adults from underserved ethnic minority communities. You will coordinate with social workers and program coordinators to evaluate your patients via secured telemedicine. Working hours are flexible from Monday to Friday between 9am - 5pm upon discussion.
Responsibilities
Review patients’ medical history and collect additional information from family members and psychologists as needed
Evaluate patients’ emotional, behavioral and mental state through discussion, observation and analysis
Identify mental disorders and determine best treatments
Develop therapy plans
Prescribe and refill medications
Analyze medical tests and track patients’ progress
Coordinate with healthcare professionals when hospitalization is required
Advise patients on how to cope with mental diseases and emotional breakdowns
Evaluate and complete necessary assessment forms for your patients to obtain certain government benefits and supports
Research medical issues and new medical treatments to update your knowledge on mental healthcare
Skills
Work experience as a Psychiatrist
In-depth knowledge of various psychotherapeutic methods
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions to a non-medical audience
Strong observation skills to accurately evaluate patients’ demeanor and identify symptoms
A great bedside manner and the ability to remain calm, empathetic and patient while interacting with patients who suffer from severe mental disorders
Thoughtful and compassionate
MD or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
Certification from the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS)

Office Manager
We are looking for a qualified medical office manager to run our mental health medical practice. You will be responsible for day-to-day operation, medical billing, provider credentialing, patient scheduling, payroll, and facility management. You will be working with American and Vietnamese patient population in Orange County. As a medical office manager, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform well in stressful situations. Our position requires knowledge of healthcare systems operations. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure steady workflows and uninterrupted service in our medical practice.
Responsibilities
Monitor budget and billing payments
Monitor account receivables and write-offs
Order medical and office supplies
Develop and implement office policies and procedures
Maintain medical and staff records
Liaise with doctors and nurses to identify potential office dysfunctions
Provide informative material for patients
Manage claims, denials, and payer requests
Communicate and obtain contracts with insurance payers
Organize and ensure updated filings for providers
Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and high ethical standards
Skills
Proven work experience as a medical office manager
Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative processes and principles
Ability to handle medical records discreetly
Knowledge of medical billing, credentialing, accounting
Knowledge of electronic medical record and practice management system
Advanced knowledge in MS Word, Excel, Google Apps (Gmail, Google Doc, Google Sheet, Google Voice, etc.)
Bilingual in English/ Vietnamese
Knowledge of medical issues and terminology
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations
Communication skills and a customer service orientation
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Informatics, Business or relevant field required. Master's degree preferred.
